What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative therapies are a fast-growing branch of medicine that uses natural biologics to regrow, repair, or replace damaged or diseased cells, tissues, or organs. These therapies support the body in repairing and restoring itself. These novel therapies include platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, human cells, tissue, cellular and tissue-based products (HCT/P), and autologous mesenchymal stem cells.

PRP therapy is a modality where a portion of the patient's blood is processed to concentrate cells and then injected into the body to aid in the healing process. HCT/P therapy is a product that contains human cells or tissues intended to transfer into the human body. Regenerative products can be used alone or in combination for improved healing outcomes, lower pain, lessened risk of re-injury or recurrence, and improved quality of life.

Regenerative therapy is a holistic, minimally invasive therapy that can help improve health and wellness by treating various conditions such as chronic pain related to arthritis, tendonitis, ligament injuries, and remodeling. It is also used in aesthetic fields such as hair restoration, facial treatments, and more.

Regenerative therapies are an exciting new approach to healing. The ability of these treatments to promote healing puts them on par with the most promising advancements in modern medicine. With more and more patients experiencing chronic pain and dysfunction, regenerative therapies offer a way back to a healthy, active life.
